The TRIP database (Turning Research into Practice) is available at www.tripdatabase.com.
TRIP is an interesting database to use to search quickly for literature supporting evidence-based practice. As described by the database, "The aims of the TRIP Database [are to] allow health professionals to easily find the highest-quality material available on the web -- to help support evidence based practice." TRIP is not a comprehensive index to the literature BUT provides links to clinically relevant evidence-based resources including synopses, systematic reviews, guidelines, clinical calculators and highly-focused PubMed searches.
If you search TRIP from a computer on campus (in the College or in the Medical Center) you may have access to full-text articles (based on the article provider recognizing the IP address of the computer). If you search TRIP from home the database will not indicate if the Library has full-text electronic access to the articles.
